Big Air, Denver

We were at the Big Air event in Denver Jan. 25 & 26 serving up some hot Wisconsin Mac & Cheese, Japanese Pan Noodles and Rice Krispy Treats while watching the skiers and riders do their thing. It was nice seeing you there, and if we didn’t- hopefully we’ll see you at our Dillon restaurant on your way up to the mountains.

Tessa’s Tips

We’d like to introduce you to our chef and registered dietician, Tessa Stamper. Every month, Tessa will share her culinary and healthy eating tips with you right here. This month it’s all about reducing calories, but not reducing flavor.

Here are two of Tessa’s favorite calorie-conscious meals to help you keep your New Year’s resolution.

First up is the Bangkok Curry TRIO with sautéed shrimp and a tossed green side salad with balsamic vinaigrette.

This meal is both sweet and spicy with only 345 calories, along with a whopping 14 grams of protein. It’s heavy on the fresh veggies, and features a sweet coconut curry wok tossed with shrimp, broccoli, carrots, red pepper, onion, mushrooms and a light portion of rice noodles.

Or if you’re on the go, try something hand-held. The Med Sandwich is made with fresh vegetables and features sautéed mushrooms, red bell peppers, spinach, red onions and crunchy cucumber, all topped with our zippy Med dressing, cilantro and feta cheese on a warm flat bread. Order the sandwich as a ‘Duo’ and add a cucumber tomato salad on the side for a complete meal.

The Med Sandwich Duo with a Cucumber Tomato Salad will cost you only 420 calories and gives you 25 grams of protein.

Phelps eats at Noodles Two Days in a Row: Wins Gold

Coincidence? We think not!

We have reason to believe eating Noodles & Company once a day, for three days in a row results in gold medals.

The swimming sensation Michael Phelps, who has won an astounding 14 Olympic gold medals throughout his career, visited the Noodles & Company in Indianapolis three times during the week of July 6. We weren’t surprised when he turned in a gold medal performance at The United States Swimming National Championships that same week!

Phelps was spotted with two buddies around eight o’clock each night. An insider tells Noodles & Company he mainly stayed in his booth, except under a few circumstances when he got up to refill his soda. The type of soda he drank is still uncertain. On all three occasions, Phelps ordered the Penne Rosa with Parmesan Crusted Chicken Breast, and on one occasion he ordered a small dish of Wisconsin Mac & Cheese.

Staff at the Indianapolis Noodles & Company location said Phelps was ‘pretty chill, always hungry, and consistent; just like his swimming career.’
